Truckee Donner Railroad Society Sierra Nevada Railroading - 1st Continental Route - May 10, 1869 Membership The Truckee Donner Railroad Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the goals of promoting, preserving and perpetuating the history of railroading as it applies to the first transcontinental railroad line over the Sierra via Donner Summit. This history is rich with the tradition of railroading in general and more specifically with the railroading activities that have taken place (and are currently occurring) in the Truckee Donner area. It is our desire to acquire and display railroad memorabilia. This will be done through the development of a museum. Presently the Society has a museum display cabinet with models and artifacts on loan to the Society. The display is located in the Chamber of Commerce office in the downtown Truckee Train Depot. Donation or loans of artifacts are generously accepted. The Truckee Donner Railroad Society plans to raise funds to support all of its endevours by sponsoring several fund raising events each year and additional funds will be procured through grants and donations. Lifetime Membership A limited number of charter lifetime
memberships will be issued. All lifetime charter members
will receive a numbered, embossed, framed certificate of
membership. Lifetime memberships may be paid in ten
monthly payments of $25.00. I hereby apply for membership in the Truckee Donner Railroad Society. I have read and support the mission and goals of the Society. I understand that my membership renewal is due annually on September 1st. Signed:________________________ Date:__________ Enclosed in my membership fee (make
