Trestle Tour Pictures

Below:Plaque marking the location of Hobart Mills. The site located about 6 miles north of Truckee was home to a large lumber mill. Standard gauge of the Sierra Nevada Wood & Lumber Company tied the mills to the main line in Truckee. Narrow gauge lines snaked into the mountains to the north to bring back the valuable logs.
