The Hi-Railer below was spotted in the Roseville yard. It belongs to RTI Railroad Services, which specializes in removal and disposal of used railroad ties, and is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Hi-Rail semi tractor is used to take the flat car loaded with a grapple tractor to the site of tie removal. Used ties are then loaded on the flat car. The car is taken by train to be disposed of. RTI working with cogeneration facilities to burn the used ties for energy generation.
